Exchange Server 2007 SP3 became generally available in June 2010. SP3 enables Exchange Server 2007 to run on Windows Server 2008 R2. This will allow customers to upgrade Exchange servers to Windows Server 2008 R2 without also upgrading to Exchange 2010, the current version and the only one that had been compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2 up to now.
