Windows 8.1 August Updates Recalled

Updates for Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 released Aug. 12, 2014, were recalled shortly thereafter, and re-released on Sept. 2, 2014. The Aug. 2014 updates provide relatively minor improvements to several features, including Miracast Receive (which allows Windows 8.1 to act as a remote display for a Miracast sender) and precision touchpad functionality (such as changes to the option to disable the touchpad when a mouse is connected and support for right-click, double-tap, and drag).
