OneDrive for Business Unveils Unified Sync Client

The unified OneDrive Next Generation Sync Client is available for deployment—with some promised features still to come—on Windows 7, 8, and 10. The client for OS X 10.9 and above is expected by the end of Dec. 2015. The new client enables selective sync support for larger files and removes the previous 20,000-file sync limit. However, it is not currently compatible with Windows 8.1, and some Office integration features may not work with synchronized files that are opened locally from File Explorer. This release does not sync SharePoint Team Sites or on-premises SharePoint libraries.
