WSUS 3.0 SP2 Support Extended Until 2020

Organizations that still use Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 SP2 (typically on Windows Server 2008 R2) now have more time to migrate to a newer version before being unsupported. WSUS is used to automate the download and distribution of software from centralized servers, either stand-alone or as part of a solution that includes other products such as System Center Configuration Manager. The current version, WSUS 4.0, is included with Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, and 2016, but WSUS 3.0 SP2 is a separate product that can be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 and earlier.
