Edge Legacy End of Support

The Edge legacy browser, which Microsoft calls the Microsoft Edge legacy desktop app, will not be supported after Mar. 9, 2021. An unsupported browser should not be used, as it does not get feature or security updates and may not work properly with sites. The Edge legacy browser first shipped in Windows 10 when the OS became generally available in July 2015. In Jan. 2020, Microsoft released a new, separate browser, also branded Edge, built with technology from the open-source Chromium project and more compatible with other modern browsers.
