More Time Between Edge Updates

A new Edge Extended Stable channel planned for Sept. 2021 will give enterprise customers more time to plan, test, and deploy updates for Microsoft’s Edge Web browser. The Extended Stable channel will have an eight-week release cadence. It will only be available for customers with managed environments, implying it will be controlled by a registry key. Separately, and driving the creation of the Edge Extended Stable channel, the Windows 10 Edge Stable channel will change to a four-week cadence for major updates with version 94, which is also scheduled for release in Sept. 2021.
