OneNote Consolidating into a Single Version

Microsoft plans to merge most features of the two OneNote editions into the OneNote app installed with Office and discontinue OneNote for Windows 10. OneNote, Microsoft’s digital note-taking program, currently exists in two editions for desktop PCs: the OneNote app (formerly OneNote 2016) that ships with Office, and OneNote for Windows 10, which is preinstalled with Windows 10 and can also be downloaded via the Microsoft Store. Though both OneNote editions will still be available for download and both will run in Windows 11, OneNote for Windows 10 will leave support in Oct. 2025.
